(Greenwood, SC, October 8, 2015.) – The Self Regional Healthcare board of trustees announced today that agreements have been reached that will bring two regional specialty practices (Lakelands Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic, PA and Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Center, PA) into Self Medical Group (SMG,) the physician practice division of Self Regional Healthcare.
Physicians and staff at Lakelands Orthopaedic will join SMG on January 1, 2016. Those physicians are: John Cathcart, III, MD, Richard M. Christian, Jr., MD, Charles D. Gray, MD, John A. King, MD, Lee A. Patterson, MD, Douglas F. Powell, MD, and Anthony R. Timms, MD.
Also joining Self Medical Group on January 1 will be Carolina Neurosurgery physicians Michael P.B. Kilburn, MD, Sumeer Lal, MD, Greg S. McLoughlin, MD, in addition to Carolina Neurosurgery staff.
Though there will be some branding and signage changes, both practices plan to remain in their current locations as patient care continues uninterrupted.
