(Greenwood, S.C., April 27, 2018) – Self Regional Healthcare has extended its Family Medicine services to Coronaca and the Lake Greenwood community. The doors opened at Family Healthcare Coronaca on the morning of April 16, 2018.

“The demand for high-quality family care was evident in this area of Greenwood County,” Crystal Southerland, director of Family Healthcare Coronaca, said. “We believe that the addition of this facility will greatly improve access to care for Coronaca residents for years to come.”

The 4,200 square foot facility is the newest primary care practice for Self Regional Healthcare, and will also serve as a near site clinic for the Occupational Health program, due in large part to its proximity to the industrial sector of Greenwood.

Jim Pfeiffer, President and CEO of Self Regional said, “We look forward to growing this practice, and to providing more people with access to our organization in a location that previously had very little convenient healthcare options. This is another milestone in achieving our mission to lead the community to better health.”

Family Healthcare Coronaca will connect patients to the broad range of specialty services that Self Regional offers, and will also serve as a beta test site for innovative new services like the MyChart kiosk, which allows patients to check in for appointments ahead of time, making the experience more efficient and convenient.
