COVID-19 updates

Special Announcement 03/19/2020

Along with most of the other hospital systems in the state of South Carolina, tomorrow morning, Self Regional Healthcare will significantly expand restrictions on visitation in an effort to protect patients and staff from potential COVID-19 infection. Beginning at 7:00 A.M., Friday, March 20, visitors will no longer be allowed in the hospital. This includes the Emergency Department, procedure areas as well as inpatient areas. There will be a few exceptions for pediatrics and laboring moms, which will be explained in a joint statement to come from the hospitals later tomorrow.

The same restrictions will apply to off-site clinics, practice sites, laboratories and other Self Regional facilities. Along with the other hospital systems imposing these restrictions, Self Regional will not permit visitors for patients who have an appointment at one of our clinics, practice locations, laboratory, procedure or radiology areas unless the patient is of pediatric age.

We apologize for any inconvenience or hardship this creates for patients and their families, but we believe it is a necessary step to minimize the risk of infection. We ask for your cooperation as we all work together to stay healthy during these extraordinary times.
