(Greenwood, S.C., Jan. 8, 2015) At this time, Self Regional Medical Center is placing temporary visitation restrictions to protect our patients and other visitors against the spread of flu.

Self Regional Healthcare Welcomes Three New Trustees
Construction business owner Hubert "Joe" Chandler; financial executive James M. Manley, Jr., CPA; and retired IBM executive Linda T. McDonald have accepted six-year appointments on the board of trustees. (01/13/2015.)

Heydel Respiratory Therapy Scholarship Awarded
Newberry native Julie Culbertson has received the M. John and Drenda Heydel Respiratory Therapy Scholarship. Culbertson is in her final year of the respiratory therapy program, and plans to work with Critical Care patients. (12/17/2014.)

SRH Announces Next Round of Community Grants
SRH has awarded $268,700 in its latest round of community improvement grants, to help local organizations provide emergency defibrillators, preventive health measures, treatment for victims of sexual violence and abuse, and assist bilingual/bicultural patients. 2014 grants total $858,200. Lights for Love Star Honors Legacy of Local Internist
The 2014 Lights for Love Star honors Dr. Wiley Price, Jr., one of Greenwood's first internal medicine physicians. Dr. Price laid the groundwork for specialists and other internists to join the greater Greenwood community over the next 60 years. (12/11/2014.)

Chairs Announced for 2015 Mid-Winter Ball
Priya Kumar, M.D., and Megha Lal will co-chair the 27th Annual Mid-Winter Ball. The gala event takes place Feb 28, 2015, and features an exotic theme "A Passage To India" to take guests on an incredible journey.

SC Spine Center Marks 1,000 Cases with Brainlab
The SC Spine Center, home to the Southeast's first Brainsuite® iCT, announced its 1,000th patient's surgical procedure using this intra-operative technology installed in June 2010. (10/20/2014.)
