Position Overview

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist to join our premier Neuroscience Center of Excellence in Greenwood, South Carolina. Under the leadership of Dr. Ryan Hakimi, Professor and current President of the American Society of Neuroimaging (ASN), this unique position offers a rare 100% focused opportunity, allowing you to practice exclusively within your area of expertise or fellowship training. You will launch your practice inside our brand-new, 30,000-square-foot stand-alone Neuroscience Center. This facility offers advanced tech suites and a massive, built-in seven-county referral base to instantly support your clinical track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a dedicated, 100% focused outpatient clinical practice.
  • Serve as a regional expert and primary referral destination for your specific clinical focus.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic suites tailored to your clinical needs.
  • Lead multidisciplinary patient care initiatives within the specialized center of excellence framework.
  • Collaborate with integrated neurosurgeons who maintain close clinical affiliations with regional academic networks.

Schedule & Call

  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Structure: Traditional 4.5 or 5-day work week with dedicated administrative time.
  • Call: No clinical call responsibilities.
  • Weekends: None. No emergency department coverage, weekend rounds, or inpatient consults required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $400,000 – $450,000 base salary plus high-yield wRVU production bonuses.
  • Sign-on: Approximately 10% signing bonus, relocation allowance, and potential educational loan assistance.
  • Time Off: 6 weeks of annual time off (inclusive of paid CME leave).
  • Allowance: $5,000 annual CME stipend.
  • Coverage: Comprehensive malpractice insurance with tail coverage.

Teaching Opportunities

  • Involvement with the Family Medicine Residency Program.
  • Teaching medical students from three regional medical schools.
  • Obtain an academic affiliation with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Greenville, VCOM, and MUSC

Qualifications

  • Degree: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Training: Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency (and fellowship if pursuing a strict subspecialty track).
  • Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
  • License: Eligible for an unrestricted South Carolina medical license.
