Bee City USA
Greenwood is proud to be a Bee City! The Pollinator Partners committee meets quarterly and invites all residents of the City to offer their ideas for pollinator-friendly initiatives. Several areas within Uptown Greenwood are landscaped and maintained with pollinators in mind, such as bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.
America in Bloom
Greenwood has recently become a participant in the national America in Bloom program. America in Bloom envisions communities across the country as welcoming and vibrant places to live, work, and play – benefiting from colorful plants and trees; enjoying clean environments; celebrating heritage; and planting pride through volunteerism. The program promotes nationwide beautification through education and community involvement by encouraging the use of flowers, plants, trees, and other environmental and lifestyle enhancements.
