Self Regional Healthcare has provided this information for patients who show signs and symptoms of a viral illness. Quarantine separates and restricts the movement of people who may have been exposed to a contagious disease to see if they become sick.

If your healthcare provider and public health staff have determined that you show the signs and symptoms of a viral illness, but do not need to be hospitalized at this time and can be isolated at home, follow these home-quarantine instructions for the health and safety of family, friends, and the community at large. You may continue to be monitored by staff from local or state health departments.

Instructions for those who have been instructed to self-quarantine at home.

You are to follow the prevention steps provided until a healthcare provider or local or state health department says it is safe to return to your normal activities.
