(Greenwood, S.C., March 13, 2024) Self Regional hosted a ceremony recognizing the Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) and the commitment of the 5 Tower team members to the education of nursing students at Lander University.

The Dedicated Education Unit (DEU), on the fifth floor of Self Regional’s Patient Tower, in partnership with Lander University provides senior level nursing students the opportunity to experience the real work of nursing in a preceptor-led clinical instruction model. The DEU will expose students to a diverse work environment, helping them to develop their resourcefulness, versatility, communication and compassion for patient care as they complete their nursing education.

Carol Stefaniak, DNP, RN, NE-BC, SRH, VP & Chief Nursing Officer, said, “Having the Dedicated Education Unit opens the door to boundless opportunities for these students. This space teaches hands-on experience, compassion and excellence in healthcare, and we are excited and proud to be able to offer it.”
