According to the American Heart Association, about 5.7 million adults in the United States suffer from heart failure, with the number expected to rise to eight million by 2030. Statistics show that each year about 870,000 new cases are diagnosed and about 50 percent of those diagnosed will die within five years. However, many heart failure patients can lead a full, enjoyable life when their condition is managed with proper medications or devices and with healthy lifestyle changes.

Self Regional is extending its Home Health services into Newberry County.
As volunteer leaders, they join 13 existing trustees who give of their time, share their talents and help the Foundation generate philanthropic support to improve healthcare in Greenwood and the Lakelands region.
As the theme suggests, there will be performers creating a spectacle that is sure to add an element of mysticism and awe to the evening. The Foundation welcomes Capsugel to the event as the presenting sponsor of the Cirque Performers.
“These organizations are vital to the health of many people in our community and we are privileged to be able to provide grants to them,” said Selynto Anderson, Community Prevention & Wellness Services Manager at Self Regional Healthcare.
