Funds for this donation come from hospital gift shop sales, vendor sales, and the “Lights for Love” fundraiser. The Auxiliary & Volunteer Services Chemotherapy Infusion Wing is named in honor of all the volunteers who dedicated much time to the project’s completion.
Self Regional Healthcare is now one of four official drop sites in the upstate for the Mother’s Milk Bank of South Carolina, a non-profit based in Charleston, SC. Mothers with a surplus of breast milk in the Lakelands now have the option to donate it easily to babies who need it most.

Self Regional Healthcare received the Gold Medal Award for participation in the South Carolina Hospital Association’s Working Well initiative, a program to support SC hospitals with wellness policies and healthy work environments for team members.
The Self Regional Heart and Vascular Center is holding a community-based Automatic External Defibrillator, or AED, grant program to train and equip community members in case of a cardiac emergency. The program’s goal is to increase awareness of what to do in a cardiac emergency, train more people on how to perform hands-only CPR and to equip various facilities in the Lakelands region with AEDs in case of an emergency.
