“Today’s signing is a testament to high regard the AAMC board of directors have for patients in Abbeville,” stated Rod Boula, AAMC Interim CEO. “The hard work this board has done over the last year to pave the way for integration with Self Regional Healthcare will ensure that we continue to have a hospital in this community.”

Gene Pruitt, Chairman of the Abbeville Area Medical Center Board said, “The leadership at Self Regional is committed to keeping high quality, personalized care in Abbeville, and I commend

our county council and hospital board for recognizing that and pursuing this affiliation. Today’s signing opens the next chapter in our service to this community and I expect to see great things from the relationship between our hospitals.”
