“Back to Golf” Spine Health Educational Program in April

The South Carolina Spine Center is offering a special “Back to Golf” education program April 19, 23, 30 designed to help individuals with back or neck pain learn more about how to resume daily activities, including a return to the golf course.

The American Heart Association recognizes employers who go "above and beyond when it comes to their employees health" and specifically looks for employers who provide walking programs, walking routes and offer healthy choices in their dining options.

Self Regional Announces $400,000 In Funding to Local Organizations

The Lakelands community is projected to receive $1.3 million in 2014 from grants funded by Self Regional Healthcare towards community health and wellness. In January, the committee awarded more than $400,000 of the $1.3 million to six local organizations.

Express Medical Care•Laurens, a new urgent care healthcare practice in Laurens County, opened to patients on January 6, 2014. Urgent care focuses on delivering non-emergency medical services on weekends and when doctor’s offices are usually closed.

Foundation Awards Scholarships To Three Respiratory Therapy Students

Three future respiratory therapists have each been awarded scholarships from the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation to help fund their studies at Piedmont Technical College.
